Meet Carmen Lenz, the creative force behind Salons at the Nook at the Village and Carmen’s European Hair Designs studio. With a passion for hair and a keen eye for business, Carmen has been shaping the beauty industry since 1989.
Originally from Germany, Carmen earned her Master’s in Hair and Business in 1989. 1990 she took her first entrepreneurial leap and established Familys Hairdresser LLC in Berlin, Germany. By 1995 she owned three locations in Berlin. 2007 Carmen brought her expertise to Texas, where she established Familys Hairdresser LLC. Always seeking new horizons, she ventured further into the Lone Star State and, in 2014, founded Carmen’s European Hair Design in Selma, Texas.
Never one to rest on her laurels, Carmen’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to new heights in 2018 when she embarked on two significant ventures. First, she established Salons at the Nook at the Village, LLC, a haven for beauty professionals seeking a premium space to showcase their talents. This innovative concept quickly gained traction, allowing stylists to thrive in a supportive environment.
Simultaneously, Carmen expanded her original salon, Carmen’s European Hair Design, into a dynamic space that embodies her vision of excellence in beauty services. Today, both ventures testify to Carmen’s dedication to her craft and commitment to providing exceptional client experiences.
With over three decades of experience and a relentless drive for innovation, Carmen Lenz continues to shape the beauty industry, one salon at a time. Whether behind the chair, mentoring aspiring stylists, or managing her thriving businesses, Carmen remains a true trailblazer in the world of hair and beauty.

What We Do
Suites and Salons Leasing
Salons at the Nook at the Villages has three large modern suites nestled amongst large oak trees. Ranging in size from 320 sq. ft. to 756 sq. ft. The suites have plenty of parking spaces. Our mini salons are located near the entrance surrounded by lush trees. The salons range from 107 sq. ft. to 175 sq.ft.
Hair, Beauty, and Wellness Services
Our professional beauty, and wellness professionals provide a variety of services including, Haircuts, Hair Color, Sisterlocks, Microlocks, Balayage, Body Treatments, Facials, Waxing, and Acupuncture.
Salons at the Nook at the Village provides hair and skin care products.
Individual Salons at the Nook at the Village offer a wide range of hair care products.
